Through the Bible in 2025

In keeping with our Covenant Sunday theme, Your Word is Truth, we are challenging every PACOC member to read through the Bible in 2025.  If that sounds ambitious, did you know that it only takes 12-15 minutes per day to read through the entire Bible in a year? Considering the time we spend on social media, podcasts, playing video games, and watching television this is a goal well within the reach of most people.

To maximize this experience, we are encouraging all members to join a Wednesday evening Disciple Making Community (DMC) consisting of no more than 12 people who will go on this journey together. These DMC's will meet from 6:30-7:30 PM throughout our two buildings and process each week's reading together led by a DMC leader. In addition to Wednesday night options,  we are providing a Women's Only Online group on Thursday Evening, a Wednesday Morning Online Group, and a Tuesday Night Men's Group at the Barnabas Center. Please complete the form below to let us know what type of group you would like to be a part of and what reading plan you prefer.

A note on the different reading plans:

The Daily Bible by F. LaGard Smith is a chronologically arranged Bible that takes you from Genesis to Revelation in 365 daily readings. We have used this Bible in the past and if you've been at PACOC a while you might have this Bible and be familiar with the plan. This Bible will be provided for you at no cost (but if you can make a $10 donation, that would be appreciated.) Here is link to the Amazon page for The Daily Bible.

The Bible Recap also follows a chronological Bible reading plan and provides an online short daily recap by creator and host, Tara-Leigh Cobble. This Bible reading plan is available in the YouVersion Bible app and no additional purchase is necessary although there are additional resources for purchase at the website. Each day’s Bible reading is approximately 12 minutes long and each recap is about 8 minutes long. Everyday Gospel is a reading plan that takes you through the Bible in 365 daily readings and includes a written devotional for every day by best-selling author Paul David Tripp. The devotional book will be provided to you at no cost (but if you can make a $10 donation, that would be appreciated.) We believe the Bible is the most important book in the world and, being the very Word of God, has the power to transform our lives into the image of Jesus. In it we find a higher level of peace, joy, and hope and as we share with others we will develop closer relationships within our church family.
